| I had another interesting dream last night (Mon-Tues), and I thought I'd share it here. The dream starts out with me sitting out on the stairs of grandma's house. It is summer, warm, and the sun is going down. The earth as my dream self knows it, has been colonized by this race of reptilian aliens from who knows where. I wave to a few of them as they walk by, and they wave back. It seems that humanity and these aliens are living in relative peace and harmony. Scene change. Now, the neighborhood where grandma lives is bustling with activity. There's an exodus of the majority of the human population in our block, and I'm sitting on the stairs to the front door watching this. Suddenly, in the crowd of people packing into busses, cars, trucks, all manners of vehicles, I recognize a girl within the dream(whom I do not recognize in reality). I get up and walk to the sidewalk, as she muscles her way through the crowd with her bike towards me. We exchange "hi's," and chat for a minute, and then she tells me, "Sorry Mike, I have to go now." So I smile and I wave to her, and I watch as she walks towards a large Chevy truck, and puts her bike in the bed. I then get up and shout, "Wait!!," and she stops, and I run to her. She and I pack into the truck, along side some teen(?) with a skateboard. Driving the truck is a hispanic male, and what I suppose was his wife in the front passenger seat. Scene change. I'm now living in this underground bunker, something like an old bomb shelter. I am living with another girl whom is not the first one I got into the truck with. My dream self knows that we are the remanents of a survivor group, part of the original exodus. My dream self also knows that we are living underground because above, it is riddled with zombies. Basically, the reason for the exodus was that the alien race turned hostile, and began forcefully eliminating human communities for more settlers, and herding survivors into slave facilities, which was the reason for the exodus. The dead have been implanted with some kind of technology that turns them into living corpses, as part of a "No Waste" policy aimed at flushing out survivors like us. We're taking care of cleaning and food within the shelter as we hear something near the entrance, and it is a pair of bandits who stumbled upon our shelter, and they run into us. One of them pulls a gun and I tackle him immediately before he shoots. My partner grabs a rifle and shoots the other guy, and I wrestle the gun out of his hand. As he pushes me off, he pulls a knife and lunges at me, and she shoots him also. So now, we have to dispose of the bodies. I open up the hatch on top and we check outside, and it seems clear of zombies at the moment. There are a few, but they are a ways off. As we dispose of the bodies, zombies start to head towards us on the surface. Suddenly, she grabs a pipe, and runs towards a zombie, and bashes it's head in. I try to pull her back in, but she brushes me off, and says "You have to live Mike! Get in the bunker!" I try to grab for her but she gets cut off from me by the zombies, while I'm screaming, "Where the hell are you going!?" At this point I quickly jump down into the shelter and I close the hatch behind me. Scene change. It is mid summer now, and the zombies are now gone. It is a very nice, summer day and I'm lounging on top of a white two door car which broke down near the entrance of the bunker. Suddenly I hear a vehicle drive up, and it is a bunch of survivors too. The driver says, "Hey, you're a survivor too? Come with us, we're going somewhere safe." I say, "No thanks, I'm waiting for someone here." "Are you sure man?" "Yeah, thanks anyways." They then drive off. Scene change. I wake up to a rumble on the surface, and I open the hatch to my bunker and I climb out. It is a convoy of vehicles with humans in them, and one of them notices me and says "Hey! Come with us, we need more! It's the final battle, we're gonna kick these alien assholes back to where they come from!" I'm like, "...what? What's going on?" He looks at me, with surprise, and goes, "What, you didn't know? It's a uprising!" I look at the chain of vehicles packed with people, and I look down into the bunker, and then I go, "Alright, I'll come." Then my alarm sounds and I wake up. This dream is my most vivid dream since the one I had a few years ago with the girl ripped in half. It is also the first one I remember dreamed in such a narrative form. | ||||||||
